This would appear to equate the “glass ceiling”. I find this rather insulting.

The “glass ceiling” is limits in career in a corporate situation. The “cotton ceiling” is at my crotch. This is threatening. I am having a lot of trouble imagining a female coming up with this term. I think the trans people who came up with terminology owe females an apology. Access to female crotches is not a right.
